How was Hitler on the right when...?

If you look at the extremes of fascism/Nazism, you will notice that it correlates much more with far-left ideology than far-right. Nazis outlawed religion, banned firearms, required State service of their citizens, and ruled everything from one strong totalitarian central government...all characteristics of today's authoritarian far-left.
