Do you think the US is confused about who is a celebrity and who is a politician?

Celebrities like to be the focus and generally are shallow often inserting themselves into politics in order to be relevant. Some politicians like to think they have star power and celebrity and often become confused by the momentary dazzle of popularity over the reality of service to those who voted for them. The thing of it is, when our politicians invite celebs into the political arena in order to help them fix problems that they cannot - Kevin Costner being a good example. Oprah helped get Obama elected through her celebrity and that gave him temporary star power. Politicians don't have to be serious all the time, but they should be serving those who elected them, not feeding their egos.
