You always hear about people who have had bad post oscar careers (Nicolas Cage, Cuba Gooding Jr., Halle Berry, Kevin Costner, Ben Affleck, Robin Williams) but you rarely hear people talk about actors, actresses, or directors who have had GOOD post oscar careers.
