How important is it to have morals and ethics?

IT is very important and society is definitely lacking in it. I am 20 years old and everyone is always giving me dirty looks and being so mean and I am a very friendly person. My mom tells me the world has changed so much since she was growing up. Society is falling apart and I pray that the Lord will come back for the final judgment anyday now so we can live on in the kingdom and not have to worry about this bad life anymore.
