The title to a movie.?

This movie has Kevin Costner in it. (I think) It is about a man and his kids in the southern part of the country. The man has PTSD and there is no mom around. The kids fight with some bad kids around where they live untill one of the bad kids almost drowns and is saved by one of the good ones. I think there is a treehouse involved?
