I can't remember the name of this movie is with Kevin Costner I believe pls help?

All I remember was that people in that town were kind of turning into zombies I think or were sick or something, and Kevin Costner, cause I believe is him, was inside a mall store or something and he heard noise and he turned and he noticed that it was empty and then again the noise then he realized that it wasn't a mannequin it was a black chick. Later he falls in love with the black chick and at the end she got sick and her eyes were turning white and so this old truck was trying to rescue them but Kevin only let her go with them, she was already with white eyes and he stayed behind and all these zombie like people got out to get him.
